All coaches wishing to attend a workshop will need to book their place via the ulearn website, where they can also find details of other workshops taking place across the country. Further booking details can be found on the relevant attachments.

Luton AC Road Race Series 2016

Luton AC Race Series 2016:

The series incorporates three separate races, 22nd John O'Callaghan Memorial 5 Mile Sunday 26th June 2016, Wardown 5K Sunday 3rd July 2016, and the 36th Luton 10K Sunday 17th July 2016, all races start at 11am. You can enter the whole series if you wish, or an individual race, we accept both on-line and postal entries, and entries on race day (until the race limit has been reached).

Race Limits

Entries will be accepted on the day of the race, until race entry limit has been reached.

Refunds

We regret that once applications have been processed we cannot refund fees to runners who do not eventually take part. Like all events, entry fees are used to hire the venue equipment etc. Therefore, we not issue any refunds after entry.

Ill or injured

If you are ill or injured, then you should not run for your own safety. For insurance reasons you cannot give your number to someone else to run in your place. Swapping numbers may result in disqualification. If a runner cannot compete they should notify the entry secretary before the event, Tel: 0797 137 1100

Parking

Public Transport

The nearest railway station for the 5miles and the 10K is Luton Airport Parkway which is 0.5 miles from Venue 360. Luton railway station which is near the town centre is the closest station for the 5K, it is 2.5 miles away. Taxis are available at both stations.

Registration

Runners who already have their number do not need to register on the day.

Refreshments

Hot and cold drinks and snacks will be available at Venue 360.

Race Rules

The race is run under UKA rules of competition. We ask you NOT to wear headsets during the race for the safety of yourself and others.

Beds AAA 5Mile County Championship

This year’s qualifying entrants are invited to complete in the Beds AAA County Championships for the 5 miles race. Entry to the Championships will be on the day at the late entry desk.

Eastern Masters 10K Road Race Championships

The Luton 10K is also hosting the EMAC 10K road race championships for 2016. Please enter as usual and there will be a form on the day for you to register as an EMAC entrant.

Please do so to be counted in the championships.

The Course

Run on the left hand side of the road unless otherwise directed by the course marshals. Marshals have no power to stop or direct traffic or the public therefore all runners are responsible for their own safety. The course is not suitable for wheelchair competitors.

Medical Attendance

St John Ambulance will be in attendance should you require any medical assistance, both mobile and at the finish. All marshals will have mobile phones and emergency phone numbers should you need them.

Results

Full results will be available on this web site as soon as possible after the race.
